Perpetual Access Licenses and Hosting Services for Libraries
Perpetual access (PA) license purchases include free hosting under a “3-concurrent user per account” license. (See the Concurrent User FAQ for details.) Library accounts owning perpetual access licenses to books on the desLibris platform are entitled to perpetual hosting under these terms without additional payment.
To remove the concurrent user per account restriction, a "Hosting Only" service is available, which works as follows:
In return for an annual per-FTE payment, all owned titles are "hosted" (made available on the platform) under the license terms under which they were purchased, without a restriction on concurrent usage.
To add/order "Hosting Only," go to the Entitlements-Subscriptions tab in your account Profile and select "Hosting Only."
Please note:
Because all subscription services include free access to all titles held under license, whether subscription or purchased, a simpler (an possibly cheaper) way to remove limits on owned books is to open a subscription to any collection.
Titles licensed under PA terms are accessible according to the license term purchased (one simultaneous user for SUPO titles and multiple simultaneous users for MUPO.)
